Subscription Plans

Washington Hazelnut now offers basic subscription plans! Choose your favorite products and automatically have them shipped to you on a regular basis!
- Choose weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly shipments.
- Pause, skip, or cancel your subscription at your convenience.
*At this time, Shopify's Subscription App platform does not allow for changes in frequency, recurrence date, or products in subscriptions. Please see below for work arounds, and feel free to contact us for assistance!
Payment
You must have a credit card saved in your account. Your card will be billed on the day your recurring subscription order is scheduled to go through.
If your payment does not go through the first time, our system will automatically try again once per day for two more days. If your payment still does not go through, your order will be paused until your payment method is updated and you choose to resume your subscription.
Recurrence Date and Frequency
Your choose if your item(s) are shipped every week, bi-weekly, or once monthly. Your subscription starts on the day your first order is placed.
At this time, changing your subscription recurrence date or frequency via your customer account is not an available feature of Shopify's Subscription App platform. You must cancel your current subscription and create a new subscription.
Example 1: Jane orders a Squirrel Box on the 10th of the month and choose a monthly subscription frequency. She changes her mind and decides she would like a Squirrel Box every 2 weeks. She cannot edit her subscription frequency and change it to a bi-weekly subscription in her customer account. Jane cancels her current monthly Squirrel Box subscription. When she is ready for another Squirrel Box on the 24th of the month, she places a new order and chooses a bi-weekly subscription plan.
Example 2: Jane orders a Squirrel Box on the 10th of the month and choose a monthly subscription frequency. She decides it works better for her to be billed on the 14th of the month instead. She cannot edit her recurrence date in her customer account. Jane cancels her current monthly subscription. On the 14th of the next month, Jane places an order for a Squirrel Box and chooses the monthly frequency subscription option. From now on, Jane's Squirrel Box order will be placed and billed on the 14th of each month.
Skipping
You may choose to skip an upcoming shipment by editing your subscription within your customer account. This will apply to your NEXT shipment only, but not any shipments after that. It will automatically resume on the next scheduled date.
Example: Jane has a monthly Squirrel Box subscription that recurs on the 10th. In January, she will be on vacation when her Squirrel Box is scheduled to arrive. After her subscription order goes through on December 10th, she logs into her account and chooses to skip her next scheduled delivery (January 10th). On February 10th, her next Squirrel Box order will automatically go through.
Pausing
You may pause your subscription at any time by editing your subscription in your customer account. To resume your subscription, you must go into your customer account and edit your subscription.
Example: Jane has a weekly Squirrel Box subscription that goes through each Monday. She is going to visit her friend in another state for 3 weeks. The week before her vacation, she logs into her account and chooses to pause her subscription. After Jane gets back from vacation, she chooses to resume the subscription. Jane's next order automatically resumes on the next Monday.
Products in Subscriptions
To choose products for your subscription, prior to completing check-out, go to the product page on our website and choose "Deliver Every Week," "Deliver Every 2 Weeks," or "Deliver Every Month." Then click "Add to Cart". Do this for each product you'd like in your subscription. When you check out, each of these products will now be automatically sent to you at the frequency you choose, starting on the date of your first order.
Products for which you choose "One Time Purchase" will not be automatically delivered to you on a recurring basis.
You may start multiple subscriptions at the same time. For example, you may choose to have a Smooth Spread sent to you once a month and a Dark Chocolate Spread sent to you every week.
Your subscription begins once you have completed check-out.
After check-out, you can see your subscriptions in your customer account.
You cannot add or subtract products from your subscription after check-out. However, you may cancel and start new subscriptions at your convenience.
